Estimated date of completion is early October.

Once completed, the Hobble Creek complex will be the first of its kind in Boise. It will feature 12 dedicated pickleball courts and will be a place for athletes from across the Treasure Valley to hone their skills. Two tennis courts will also be constructed with pickleball lines.

    Concrete has been poured!!!!

Come October 1 - I am guessing that only two pickleball courts and two tennis courts will be ready to use.  The way I am looking at the plans, the other 10 pickleball courts still need to be poured -- in the area south of what has been poured.  The ground has not even been prepared. I'm sad.

I took this picture at Hobble on 8/21. I believe the grading will be finished the first part of next week and hopefully they will pour concrete by the end of August.

    From David Grube, BAPA Prez:

DO NOT PLAY on the courts at Hobble Creek while construction crews and equipment are still in the area. The city will not take over the courts until the project is completed. As tempting as it is, please be respectful of the liability issues

We will notify you when the City of Boise gives us permission to play on them - hopefully before the dedication. The dedication, hosted by Boise Parks and Recreation, is scheduled for November 12th at 3pm. Thank you for your patience.

Hobble Creek Pickleball Complex will open for play on Tuesday, November 3 at 8am.  All our welcome to come and enjoy the fruits of a dedicated group of volunteers and all the donations raised from pickleball players in the Treasure Valley.

    Hi Tony,

I've been to Hobble Creek park three times.  Each time there have been players. But yesterday, there were set groups... and a few drop-in players. The few drop-in players had a tough time making a foursome - given their coming and goings.

You can try Settlers Park, in Meridian, too - if you don't have enough for a game.
